Photos from Safari 2023
I had the opportunity to photograph some pretty amazing creatures while on safari in Kenya. But before I share those photos, I wanted to share a few interesting photos of the landscape, people, and various structures.

Enjoy today’s photo(s) from Kenya, taken at the gate to get in the Masai Mara National Reserve.
I don’t really have much of a description or story bout this particular photo, but I like it for some reason.
I absolutely LOVED my time in Kenya. I certainly hope to make it back again.
Here in this photo is Pastor Elijah and his lovely bride, Maureen, coming forward hand-in-hand to receive their gift of a Study Bible…
Today’s photo from Kenya features another special moment that happened while Paul & Cindy were handing out the Bibles as a special gift.
I have one more photo of Bishop Stephen Mutune that I have to share. This is definitely one of my favorite photos from our time in Kenya.
Bishop Mutune spoke at the beginning and ending of several of the sessions during the Pastor’s Conference. Every time he spoke, I thought to myself, “Wow! This guy. Has a ton of wisdom, grace, and humility!”
One of the most powerful moments of the “Leaders Alive” pastor’s conference happened after talking about the difference between “leading with a stick and leading with a towel”.
We had an amazing team while we served in Kenya! I believe with all of my heart that God put this team together, and it was an absolute joy to serve alongside of each and every one of them.
By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. (John 15:8, ESV)
What a joy and blessing it was to be able to feed the village spiritually, and then follow that up with an opportunity to feed them physically.
There are two teams. You get to choose which team you want to be on.
As we waited for others to congregate at the school in Kairungu, I caught a classic moment of Scott being Scott (and bringing others—including Lester—along with him).
After we wrapped things up at the widow’s house, our team made our way to the local school building in the village. I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the school house.
Yesterday I wrote about our team picking up a bed and frame for one of the wonderful ladies we had the pleasure of serving while we were in Kenya. Today’s photo from Kenya is a bit of a continuation of that story.
