10k October (Day Thirteen & Fourteen)

I just keep plugging away on 10k October. At this point I think it will feel a little strange to go back to a 5k every day… but for time’s sake that is probably what I will do come November.

On Thursday I went out for nice afternoon run. I ran 6.3 miles in 47:15, which was an average pace of 7:25 per mile. 

Friday morning I woke up and ran 2 miles with my beautiful bride and then finished a 10k on my own. I ended up running 6.6 miles in 57:20, which is an average pace of 8:39. 

Tonight I find myself half wishing that I had another 25k to run tomorrow… that was kind of fun last week. I don’t have anything like that, but to end 10k October I will be running in the Whispering Pines 112. 

Yes, it is a 112 mile race… No, I will not be running all 112 miles. 

I will actually be on a relay team that will be running a collective 112 miles. 

I’m sure more details about that craziness will be coming soon. Until then, I’ll just keep plugging away…
