10k October (Day Eleven & Twelve)
Oh my! Yesterday came and went quickly. I ran but I didn’t realize until this morning that I never got around to posting an update.
Whoops!
Yesterday morning I got up at 4:30am and put in a nice 10+ mile group run in Wooster. I ran 10.3 miles in 1:22:30, which is an average pace of 7:57 or mile. It was a fun run with a great group of guys.
After the run I had a meeting at Bob Evan’s and then drove to Rosedale Bible College for an “I Am” retreat planning meeting. I drove home and picked up pizza because we were having guests over for dinner -which was such a great time. Then I went down to the studio for a couple of hours of recording on the Jennifer Miller project.
I slept like a champ, woke up, and did it all over again.
This morning I woke up at 4:15am, and put in a nice and steady 8.2 miles in 1:08:18, which was an average pace of 8:20 per mile. I ran with my brother, which is always a great time. I feel very blessed that we are both able to run together and just spend time talking about God, life and family.
As I was leaving his house I realized that in the midst of everything I had forgotten to post an update for Day Eleven, so now I am at Starbucks in between meetings and posting an epic double-update.
My main takeaway: I am a full twelve days in to 10k October and so far I am not dead.
Happy thoughts…
