We absolutely love ​getting to be together at Little Eden each year. It is a week of ministry, but also an awesome week as a family.

I mean… how beautiful is this place?!​

This dude is just full of life! He started Lovin’ Life ministry to awaken and cultivate this generation to live life to the fullest.

I have no idea who this guy was, but he just showed up and started surfing like a boss on the tiny waves close to shore.

I don’t know why… but I just really thought this was cool looking. So I took a photo of it. Doesn’t it just make you want to go hang out on the beach?!

I’m so thankful that my bride was able to be with me in California. We had an awesome week together, and an awesome week of ministry. Our one afternoon spent on the beach was a bit cold and overcast, but it was still amazing.

I captured the first time that my feet stepped into the Pacific Ocean.

For our final full day in California, our good friend Steve Suh drove us to Santa Cruz to hang out with Zane Black (Lovin’ Life) and the students in his “Life School” program.

After hanging out for a bit at Pier 39, we started the quick walk back to the ferry to return to Oakland in time for the Youth Retreat ​that was starting soon after we arrived. I took this photo on our way back to the ferry.

From Pier 39 you can take in this breathtaking view of some of the finest lodging once available in San Francisco… Alcatraz Island!

One thing that Jodi and I desperately wanted to do while in San Francisco was order a bowl of delicious clam chowder. It only seemed right to get it at Pier 39.
