In today’s #MidweekWorshipConnection, Jeff continues a three-week look at Joshua and a few stories surrounding the battle of Jericho. He also shares the song “Great Redeemer” by Polen Band.
When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man was standing before him with his drawn sword in his hand. And Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our adversaries?” (Joshua 5:13, ESV)
A couple of weeks ago I experienced an absolute treat! I had the privilege of spending Sunday evening through Wednesday morning at Glen Eyrie Castle in Colorado Springs, CO. I was asked to lead worship and take my place at the table with the Gospel Advancing Ministry Council, facilitated by Dare 2 Share ministries.
Sometimes the hidden gems within the plain text of the Bible simply seem too good to be true. Thankfully, the Bible is both good and true!
There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit. (Isaiah 11:21, ESV)
St. Patrick’s Day is one of my favorite holidays of the year! St. Patrick’s Day provides a great opportunity for us to reflect on our lives and consider what we would be willing to surrender for the sake of advancing the Gospel!
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20, ESV)
For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations. – Psalm 100:5, ESV
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! (Psalm 100:4, ESV)
Know that the LORD, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. (Psalm 100:3, ESV)
“Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!” (Psalm 100:2, ESV)
Some of the commands in Scripture seem almost too easy. Childish, really. The Psalmist begins Psalm 100 with such a command: “Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!”
