As the time elapsed on the first round of the Ohio High School Athletic Association girl’s soccer tournament, the Waynedale Lady Bears were ahead by 5 points. They are officially moving on to the next round! While this victory was sweet, it was also a little bitter…

Tonight was the last home game of the season, and the last home game of Abigail’s high school soccer career. She played her heart out tonight, and helped her team advance to the next round of the tournament. I hope that the lessons she has been learning as team captain this year (and last year) will be lessons that will help her in the next seasons of life, as well.

But for now… on to round two.
