I January I thought I’d never be able to run again. So excited and praising God that I have been able to do this.

Yes, I have walked more than 3.1 miles per day everyday in May. I feel really good about it. Not so much at first. It was stressful and my hip hurt. But as I walked more, the pain went away!!! Not planning to be at the Musik Festival. I learned I can do whatever I think I can. I’m so happy I did this. I’m going to keep doing it in June. Thank you for talking me into it!

I’ve learned that I can make time for the 5K and scripture reading in May so I need to make that a habit or priority all year along.
I’m always glad that I signed up for 5K May! I LOVE the podcast. I especially loved the journal this year! I have even done every picture challenge this year so far!!

2. Honestly, so good. Physically, my feet are pretty blistered up and my quads are tight some days but that’s normal.

4. The body follows where the MIND leads; our thoughts are sooooo powerful. There were days when I just didn’t want to do it, but working up the courage to stay consistent & show up anyway paid off.
5. So incredibly thankful for this challenge this month. It helped life slow down too — I need more months that feel slower. It’s crazy to say this but I had something to look forward to everyday and beginning of May Destiny would not be saying that about a RUN.

2. How am I feeling? Honestly, last week was the hardest week because I was so tired each night after work, but thankfully I had the best walking partner who waited to walk with me each night which was encouraging for me. Last week aside, I have enjoyed the 5k walks and jogs each day.

What have you learned from this challenge? I recognize more and more I do this challenge this is my fourth year completing and 5th total that making time spiritually is very much needed and can be done. Dedicating the 5k to God instead of just wanting a Teeshirt hits me differently than when I started this back in 2020. I absolutely loved my crack of dawn walks and even the walks at 11 pm they meant so much more this year than “just getting it done” my steps were more purposeful and spiritually I feel closer to God.

What have you learned from this challenge?
Nature is so serene, I feel refreshed and restored after being outside for some time. I also learned that I really can push through and do hard things. Walking alone everytime has taught me to be okay with myself. I even went to the movies one night just me and didn’t cancel, panic, or just leave.

I have not ran everyday! But it was a fun challenge. Halfway through May, I had an incredibly busy week and couldn’t maintain running. It was a lot of fun and excited to keep running most days through summer. I learned more about discipline and commitment, and more about running in general. I’m thankful I signed up and look forward to completing the challenge in 2026.

2.) i feel great! i love that this challenge has forced me to go outside more and im glad that my friend encouraged me to sign up this year! i dont have a treadmill and my house is pretty small so the walks in the rain were super fun!

4.) i learned that walking and running isnt as boring as i thought it was gonna be and its a good way to spend my time instead of js sitting around! glad that i was able to learn from this challenge!

I’ve learned that I can enjoy running as long as I don’t push myself so hard that it’s horrible. I’ve tried to start slower and be consistent and that has been far better for me than pushing myself to hard and then quitting.
I’m glad I signed up for the challenge and will likely continue running daily.
