Jitter’s Coffee House (February 2023)

It has been a whirlwind start to the year. I am behind on posting my “Post-Event Blog Posts”. Hopefully I can get caught up this week talking about some of the super cool events I have been able to be a part of in February 2023.

Jodi, Taylor, and I spent a couple of weeks in Kenya from mid-January to late January. I have been posting one of my favorite “Photos from Kenya 2023” each day since February 1. On the Friday evening after we got back from Kenya, while we were still feeling good and jet-lagged, we had the privilege of leading worship at Jitter’s Coffee House.

I really enjoy Jitter’s. I used to go there quite a bit to lead worship with Polen Band. In fact, we even had a couple of “Seize The Summer” events at Jitter’s back in the day. Sadly, I haven’t been there in quite a while. So I was pretty excited to be asked to lead an hour of worship music at Jitter’s.

I decided that it would be most enjoyable (definitely for me, but hopefully for everyone who came to worship with us) if I asked Jodi and Taylor to join me. Jodi played piano and Taylor played violin.

I was super excited to see some people I know show up to worship with us. Having just recently returned from Kenya, it was also really special to see a bunch of people from our Kenya team show up to spend and evening worshiping Jesus through music with us. THANK YOU to everyone who came out. I hope you had a great time!

In case you missed it, here is a song from the evening that Ryan Yoder captured and edited. (Thanks, Ryan!)

I will be back to lead another hour of worship at Jitter’s on Friday, April 28. I believe that Rocky Favia, Jr. will join me, and we will lead as If We. It will be fun to share popular worship songs that have been impacting each of us, individually, and I will be excited to share songs that we have written together throughout the years. Mark your calendar for April 28 and plan to join us!
