Favorite Photos of 2022

Yesterday I wrote about developing a monthly routine of having a “Daddy / Daughter Date” with each daughter and a “Father / Son Time” with my son on their special day of each month. While I am sharing my favorite photos of 2022, I decided to use their special day to highlight each special kid.

Taylor’s special day is the sixth of each month. This is a photo I took of Taylor and her beautiful mother on her 16th birthday.

I can’t believe that we have a sixteen-year-old daughter! Life comes at you fast!

Taylor is an amazing young woman, and I am excited to see the woman of God that she is becoming. She is a very talented violinist, an excellent listener, a lover of truth, a frequent giver of hugs, and someone with an awful lot to say!

God has really gifted her with the ability to learn and speak foreign languages, and I think it is so that she can say everything that she wants to say in several different ways! Haha. Just kidding… kind of.

The truth is that she is a wonderful person, and I couldn’t possibly be more proud of her.

I will never forget that feeling of first holding her in my arms when she was a newborn baby. I had no concept of what it was like to be a father-no way of truly understanding the unconditional love that a father has for his children-until that moment.

Of course, I thought I knew about it, but in that moment I really knew about it.

That is the kind of love that God has for His children. It is precisely because of this great love that God sent His only Son, Jesus, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

God has blessed us with so many miracles and so many amazing gifts, but one of the greatest gifts He has blessed us with, by far, is the gift of children.

Before I know it, Taylor will be sent off into the world chasing the passions that God has placed within her. I pray that she pursues Jesus above all else. And until then, I have some important work of discipling to do… and myriad hugs to collect.
