10k October (Day One)
What a day! I woke up early this morning to make it to a 4 Chair Discipling seminar in Amherst, OH. It was definitely worth the drive. Great job, Joel Zaborowski with SonLife Ministries!
When I got home I was joined by my lovely bride for a two mile run and then I dropped her off and finished up my first 10k for the month. I felt pretty good, but I can’t help but think 10k October might be a really bad idea.
Oh well.
After running I mowed my yard, drove into Wooster for a little taste of WoosterFest, and then picked up Coccia House pizza on my way home. It was a good day.
Today was also my birthday, so I opened presents after supper and watched a movie with my family (it was a LEGO Justice League movie that my kids picked out for me for my birthday… it is possible that they wanted to see it more than I did).
After the movie was over we said prayers and tucked the kids into bed, and then we were pleasantly surprised by a couple of friends who brought me a Birthday Starbucks (and a drink for Jodi)! How fun!
Thank you, God, for a great teaching, a great run, a great family, great food, and great friends. Truly God is good all of the time!
