Tuesday Morning
We started the morning with a nice breakfast and then went to Core Groups to go deeper on what it looks like to share our faith. Specifically, we talked about the strategy of asking, admiring, and admitting. Practically speaking, that means asking great questions to learn more about the person we are talking to, admiring what we can about what they believe, and then admitting that the reason we put our faith in Jesus is because we are sinners who need a Savior. That is an oversimplified version of a 90 minute teaching, but it at least gives the basic idea.
After Core Group we had another general session on Prayer. It was good stuff. Using the Lord’s Prayer as an outline, we were taught to P.R.A.Y.
Praise God for who He is (Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your Name)…
Requests -let our requests be made known to God (Let Your Kingdom Come… give us this day our daily bread…)
Admit or confess our sins (forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors…)
Yield our lives to God (…Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory…)
After the morning session we had Chick-Fil-A in a box. God is good.
Now we are on a school bus getting ready to head to Columbine High School for a prayer journey that we will not soon forget.
