        My name is Debbra Vagher! I have completed at least 3.1 miles each day in May so far! Midway through the challenge I feel great and absolutely have what it takes to finish! My favorite part is that each morning I walk with my friend and we talk and we laugh and the miles just fly by! We are having a great time!!

      I have completed an intentional 5k everyday so far.
      I am feeling a little sore because my job is physically demanding and with this challenge I’m getting up to 20k steps a day 😆
      I felt like God wanted me to do this challenge to teach me how to rely on His strength day by day. And I’ve certainly needed His strength to do it so far. I’ve been loving turning these miles into prayer walks!

  26. My name is Loretta. I have completed a 5k each morning this month before school and on the weekends. This time of the year, as school is winding down, I’m exhausted at the end of the day, thus the walking early morning. Lord willing, I plan to finish. I do enjoy listening to your podcasts before I walk, I love the morning sounds when walking. I’ve done most of the photo challenges.

    The first three days, I was backpacking, which was great, and I have traveled a lot already this month. So I have done many days on my own. But I very much prefer each day I am able to complete the daily 5K with my wife!

      I love the ‘me time’ as a mom of 2 toddlers. It helps me cool down from my heavy lifting program every day. It’s a nice change of pace!

I have really enjoyed the time to slow down a little, enjoy God’s creation, and the community (whether through the Facebook group or do it with friends in person, or talking to my sister on the phone). I usually try to run some, but this year I have just been walking, but the commitment to that quiet time to slow down seems to be what I need currently, so it has been really nice.

    Won’t lie, I’m hurting a bit. I’m not as young as I once was. Plus doing more distance. And I don’t recover as fast as I used to. I think I’m crazy but I’m no quitter; this is going to be done all the way through!

    My favorite part has been getting to often walk the last mile with my daughters.I’ve timed it well most times to meet them as they get out of school. I hope they don’t get tired of me doing that.

    The best part is spending the walking time with my wife each day – time we haven’t put aside on a normal basis.

    My favorite component of the challenge so far is having an excuse to either walk on the road and listen to my favorite music or hangout with my mom.

    I enjoy the discipline of it. There’s definitely a connection and how that has helped me have discipline in other areas of my life.
