After leaving Delhi, we flew to Varanasi to visit the Ganges River and see the daily Ganga Aarti, an evening ritual at Dashashwamedh Ghat where priests honor the Ganges River goddess with fire, chants, and rhythmic movements.

In Hindu mythology, Varanasi is considered to be the cosmic center of the universe, where the god Shiva created the world with the tip of his spear.
