HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

How great is it to live in a country that sets a whole day aside to promote thankfulness.

Today I was thinking about what I am most thankful for. There are so many things I am thankful for, including family, friends, and all kinds of fun stuff… but I am most thankful for Jesus!

I definitely do not deserve His endless love and amazing grace, and yet I still have it! Praise the LORD! Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins, so that anyone who would put their faith and trust in Him alone for salvation can be forgiven and forever welcomed into the family of God! That is amazing!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16)

Over the weekend Polen Band had the pleasure of leading worship at ELEVATE Youth Camp at Camp Chautauqua in Miamisburg, OH. It was awesome! On Saturday night the youth were encouraged to write the name of someone in their life who needs to hear about Jesus. Then they were encouraged to hang the name on a wooden cross while praying for that friend or family member to come to a saving knowledge of what Jesus has done for them on the cross. It was a powerful moment.

I am thankful that Jesus saved me, set me on mission for Him, and gives me so many opportunities to be a part of incredible, missions-focused moments like we experienced over the weekend.
