Photo Every Day 2025

I am still going back through my photos from a recent trip to California. I did share some quick iPhone snapshots that I took while I was there, but now I am going through the photos that I took with a much nicer camera.

This is a photo I have wanted to take since the first time I made it to San Francisco, but I could never find the time to actually get on location to physically take the photo.

Our family would definitely be described as “Full House Fans”. I liked the show when I was growing up, but my bride LOVED the show. Now our kids love the show. We have seen every episode many, many times. Because of this, I have always wanted to see the iconic “Painted Ladies” for myself. Sure enough, on this past trip, we paid a taxi driver to take us to the Painted Ladies. He waited for us for 5 minutes to get out and run to the nearby park to take a photo. (After getting back into the taxi, he told us that he had to randomly drop us off because there was a high paying customer waiting for him at the airport… so this photo cost us that taxi ride plus a mile-long walk through San Francisco to make it back to the Ferry Building. #WorthIt)
