#DailyFunPhoto Day 18 + Photo Every Day 2025

I have to admit that I was NOT looking forward to today’s 5k. We had a pretty packed weekend. Yesterday, after an already pretty full day, we packed up the big red van and drove to Circleville, OH so that we would only have a 45 minute drive to Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church in the morning. This morning we woke up and had the privilege of leading worship and speaking as a family for Good Shepherd’s Sunday morning service. It was a real joy to be with the fine people of Good Shepherd this morning! Such a great church and great group of people.

After the service, we packed up our gear and drove back home. By the time we arrived at home, I was tanked. I did NOT want to run. But I knew that I had to… so I went.

The run itself was less than inspiring, but halfway through the run I saw this flag, and I thought to myself, I am really thankful to live in a country that was founded on Biblical principles, that largely honors God, and where we can worship God without fear of significant persecution.

So today, during an otherwise uninspiring run, this flag (and all that it symbolizes) brought me joy.
