Photo Every Day 2025

Jodi and I ran the Publix Atlanta Marathon last weekend. Afterwards, in the late afternoon (after a glorious nap), most of us took a little stroll from our hotel to the Centennial Olympic Park in Downtown Atlanta. I brought my camera and took a few fun photos.

While walking around the park, we saw a couple of fun signs of wildlife. Yesterday I shared a photo of a fun, playful squirrel. Today I am sharing my favorite wildlife photo that I have taken since being on safari in Kenya. I believe this is some sort of hawk. It was huge! How ironic to be in Atlanta and see a hawk?!

I am thankful that I was ready for the photo, because this big, beautiful bird did not face us at all. It was looking away, then it quickly turned to the side (this shot), and immediately flew away. I almost missed it…
