Photo Every Day 2025

It is super cold here in Ohio. (For anyone who thought we were done with the well-below-freezing temperatures and snow, you were wrong! It is only mid-February, for goodness’ sake.)

Today was really cold. It was around 10º, but felt like 0º. I think that is why I was so surprised this afternoon to hear the joyful sound of birds scurrying about and playing in the tree in our back yard. I poked my head out of the window to get a better look, and sure enough, it was (what I believe to be) a flock of Pine Warblers. (Or perhaps they were Yellow-throated Vireo, but that would be even more rare.) They were fun to watch, whatever they were.

Any bird people out there seeing some interesting bird activity in the midst of the freezing cold temps?
