D•Con 2025
I have so much to say about our time at the Sonlife Disciple-Making Conference in St. Augustine, FL this past week. It was awesome! I absolutely loved having the privilege of linking arms and serving alongside of an amazing team of men and women who love the LORD, love the church, and want to help equip the church to love the LORD and the lost even more.
Today I want to post a photo of a dear friend of mine, Greg Stier.
I so love, appreciate, and deeply admire this man. God has used Greg to impact my life in more ways than I could possibly count. I was so excited to hear him speak at the opening session of the Disciple-Making Conference. Greg spoke with power and authority, and God was using him to impact the room in deeply profound ways that, I believe, will continue to bear fruit for decades to come.
Greg spoke about the urgency of advancing the gospel and making disciples. He shared a powerful, recent story of a young lady in a foreign country who literally gave her life to stand for Jesus. What most attendees did not know is that while Greg was sharing this story, his own brother was in the hospital fighting for his life.
Greg’s older brother, Doug, had suffered a seizure and was in the hospital recovering. Tragically, Doug did not recover. Greg posted this update to Facebook this morning:
My brother Doug, who has always been my hero, had a massive seizure and went to be with the Lord yesterday. Prayers appreciated for his wife and family.
Knowing that Doug knew Jesus gives us deep joy in the midst of great grief.
Throughout my growing up years Doug was my inspiration to relentlessly advance the Gospel. He lived a life to display God’s glory and share God’s story.
We will miss him deeply! Until I see you in heaven big brother!

Please join me in praying for Greg and his extended family as they grieve the earthly loss of Doug while celebrating his arrival in heaven to be with Jesus forever.
Many years ago, Greg developed this little G.O.S.P.E.L. acrostic / evangelism tool. I think it is as appropriate of a reminder now as it has ever been…
God created us to be with Him.
Our sins separate us from God.
Sins cannot be removed by good deeds.
Paying the price for sins, Jesus died and rose again.
Everyone who trusts in Him alone has eternal life.
Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever.
