Photo Every Day 2024

For my little personal Christmas season photo challenge, today I am posting a photo of our faithful Christmas tree.

I have taken many photos of our Christmas tree throughout the past several years, but I wanted to do something different with this one. I narrowed the aperture like crazy, slowed down the shutter speed, and turned off all of the other lights in the room. The result was a pretty cool photo of our tree, with beams of light coming off of each of the little Christmas lights wrapped around our tree. (I also noticed while taking this photo that a couple of strands of lights decided that they no longer want to be a part of this whole Christmas thing…)
