Photo Every Day 2024

I have decided to do something a little different this month. I have complied a list of 25 photos I want to take and post in December. Each day I will attempt to cross one of the items off of the list.

Last year our cat was all over the Christmas tree. She was climbing up every chance she could get. Of course, last year she was climbing up me every chance she could get, as well. (She loved to climb up my legs and chest and sit on my shoulder, like a parrot to a pirate.) This year the cat is quite a bit bigger than she was last year, and the whole climbing-the-fake-Christmas-tree thing doesn’t really work this year like it did last year. It’s not that she didn’t try, it’s just that the tree couldn’t handle it… so we took all of the ornaments and ribbon off of the tree and sprayed it with a mixture of water, lemon oil, lime oil, citrus oil, and lemon juice. After decorating the freshly doused tree again, the cats no longer mess with it.

So… all of that to say that I was not able to get a photo of the cats in the Christmas tree, but this photo will have to do. I think Linx is looking up into the tree reminiscing about the glory days when she was small enough to climb a tree that didn’t smell like citrus.
