It’s not every day that you see the Goodyear blimp floating by.

Did you know: Goodyear currently owns and operates four different Goodyear blimps. There is Wingfoot One, Wingfoot Two, Wingfoot Three, and European Goodyear Blimp. The one I caught a photo of was Wingfoot One.)

The Wingfoot blimps operate out of air bases in Akron, OH, Carson, CA, and Pompano Beach, FL. The European Goodyear Blimp is operated by Zeppelin and based in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

Despite being called a blimp, these aircraft are not actually blimps. Technically the Goodyear blimp is classified as a semi-rigid airship.
