What an amazing weekend! We spent the weekend as a family celebrating Jodi’s parents’ 50th wedding anniversary! Amazing! 50 years!!

It was actually a lot of fun celebrating two amazing people who made their vows before God and men 50 years ago this weekend, and then stuck to that commitment and are currently in the process of leaving an amazing legacy.

On Friday evening we met at a fancy restaurant to celebrate together. Then on Saturday morning we had a wonderful brunch together, watched a bit of the Olympics, and then met up at their house for swimming, pizza, a campfire, and a celebration with some of their closest friends. This morning we all went to church with them, and then enjoyed a delicious home-cooked lunch together.

Jodi and I have celebrated 21 years together (not too shabby…). I can’t wait for our 50th!! I hope our kids will celebrate our commitment to one another at least half as joyfully as we celebrated Jodi’s parents’ 50 years together.
