I have been thinking today about this photo that I took while touring Yoder Lumber last week.

What do you see in this photo?

Do you just see a bunch of random logs, or do you see incredible potential?

What will these logs become? They are currently in process. They are far from finished.

When I look at this photo, I see incredible potential. These logs remind me of an amazing truth from Paul’s letter to the Philippians.

…I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:6, ESV

God is not finished with us, yet! When we look at our lives as they are right now, they may feel like these logs… far from finished. But God is crafting something beautiful out of our lives. Our lives have incredible potential when placed in the Father’s hands.

When you look at this photo, do you see the dust and dirt? The process can be messy. The process can be dirty. The process is often gritty. But the end result is worth it!
