Gratitude Challenge: Day 23

I have decided to spend the month of November focusing on thankfulness. To help me with this challenge, I signed up to receive a daily prompt from the Day One journal app, encouraging me to write about something I am thankful for. I will, of course, aim to pair the daily journal entry with a photo.

Here is today’s prompt:

What is a small act of kindness I recently received or witnessed?

This quick iPhone snapshot has multiple acts of kindness in it…

1. You can see my daughter making me some hot chocolate. What a sweetheart!

2. She is making the hot chocolate on a Keurig machine that we travel with. The machine was a very thoughtful gift from good friends in Western Ohio.

3. You can see three boxes of hot chocolate sitting on the counter. Those were an unexpected gift from a good friend that I received last night.

4. You can also see the Kenyan flag on our half wall. That flag was a farewell gift from a good friend I met while in Kenya earlier this year. I leave it on the counter to remind me to pray for Kenya and for our friends there.
