Photo Every Day 2023

I decided to take a brief break from posting photos from my recent trip out west, and today I will be posting a photo I took this past Saturday morning of our daughter running Cross Country.

She has been having a great season! It is so much fun to watch her run. She seems to really enjoy it, and she is really good at it. But the part that is most fun is watching her cheer the other runners on.

She got off to a bit of a slower start on Saturday. I believe she was running in around sixth place by the first straightaway. The next time I saw her (at about a mile in), she was still in sixth place. We ran to another spot on the course to see her. She came through the woods in third place, with second pretty far ahead.

We ran to the finish line area where we watched her come around the final corner, still in third place. Then she turned on the speed! Here she is coming across the finish line… in second place!
