Miracle Camp “Ice Camp” (week 3)

On Friday afternoon, March 3, we set out for our third and final “Ice Camp” of the year at Miracle Camp in Lawton, MI. We have loved partnering with Miracle Camp by leading worship for their student ministry “Ice Camp” events. Although, to be fair, none of the “Ice Camp” events have been very icy. They have definitely been more like “Winter Mud” camps.

Well, all of that changed in March. Our typically four and a half hour trip to the camp ended up taking almost twice that as the roads went from bad to worse in near white-out conditions. The closer we got, the worse the weather got. It was a snowy, icy mess.

Thankfully we arrived safely, albeit a little late. No worries! We were not the only ones to struggle with the commute. Eric Rupp, the Program Director at the camp, made the executive decision to push everything back a little bit. So we started a little later and were able to get the first session in. Unfortunately, a large amount of campers did not make it to the camp on Friday night due to the weather, but they were able to join us on Saturday morning.

As always, we had a great time at Miracle Camp. Once we got there, we had a blast leading students in musical worship, and partnering with the staff at Miracle Camp to point to Jesus.

Enjoy a piece of the Sunday morning chapel service, with some interview snippets worked in…
