I have always wanted to make my way to the west coast. Believe it or not, the west coast has largely eluded me.
I did get a chance to train a group of Youth Leaders alongside of Greg Stier in Seattle, WA in 2017, but that was such a quick trip and I needed to get to Florida for the Sonlife D•Conference right afterwards, so I didn’t really get a chance to take in the sights and enjoy Seattle.
Thankfully, my good friend Luke Long invited me to come lead worship and speak for his “CauseCampNW” mission trip this past year.
Luke Long is an absolute rock star! I so admire his passion for the LORD, his love for his family, and his commitment to the local church. What a privilege and joy it was to partner with him in the gospel in his own home town near Seattle, WA.
I was so blessed to get a chance to speak to his group, and to lead them in worship.
On the second day of the mission trip, we took a hike to an absolutely beautiful, secluded area, where we simply sat and prayed. It reminded me of something that Jesus would have done with His disciples.
It was powerful.
While the youth were off praying and connecting with the Father, I pulled my camera out and quickly snapped this photo.
I am hopeful to get a chance to visit Washington state again. What an amazing place!
