44 Days Through the New Testament – Day 44

Revelation 21-22
Wow! We made it! 260 chapters in 44 days. #WorthIt
Finishing up the book of Revelation on Christmas Eve was pretty awesome. The passage that stood out to me today was from near the end of the Bible.
The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.
Revelation 22:17, ESV
Tomorrow morning there will be millions of families around the globe celebrating Christmas. Gifts will be both given and received. Countless hugs, smiles, and laughter will be shared. People will be truly happy. But will they experience true joy?
The tragic irony is that while millions of families around the globe will celebrate Christmas, many millions will miss or ignore the greatest gift of all -Christ Himself! Many millions will experience the temporary happiness of being with family, but will miss the true joy of being with God and celebrating the birth of His Son -who was born to die… for us.
If you miss the true gift of Christmas, and forfeit the true joy of knowing Christ, it will be because you chose to do so. You have been invited into His joy. The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.”
Come… let us adore Him.
Come… all ye faithful.
Come… and worship.
Come… and find true love.
Come… and find true life.
The Spirit and the Bride say “Come.”
