The Ancient Galilee Boat

This morning we visited a small museum where they have a small boat on display in a climate controlled room. The boat was discovered near the surface of the water during a dry season in Migdal.

Historians date the boat back to the first century. Perhaps it was the boat of Peter, or a boat that Jesus would have been on. Perhaps it was a boat of first century Jews during the Roman revolt. Perhaps it is just a really old boat.

Either way, it was interesting to look at and consider it’s possible significance.
